For object types with tabular display, a column group must be used to define the type of display. The settings for the column group can be accessed via the customizing menu:
The column group defines the structure of the GRID and thus represents the field catalog that defines the columns of the table.
The fields of the elements are entered in the “Field name” column. The order of the columns can be defined in the “Order” column, otherwise the lexicographical order is used. The “Editable” column determines whether the column can be edited. The format of the element or a rule can be used to control the editability of individual cells.
The “ICON” setting must be set if the value is to be converted to an ICON.
In the column group, it is also possible to get a different name for the column heading than is set in the element by entering an element in the “Column text element” column. The name of this element is then used for the column heading.
It looks like this, for example:
A color can be selected for each column. The following colors are available:
The value fields of a TME element (VALUE, VALUE_MIN, VALUE_MAX, GENVALUEMIN+MAX, etc.) are always displayed as CHECKBOX if the conversion routine of the associated element is BOOL. This applies to both horizontal and vertical elements.
In addition, a cell within a column is displayed as a CHECKBOX if this column is marked as a CHECKBOX in the column group.
If it is a display with vertical elements, the vertical elements must also be specified in the column group. In addition, language-dependent values, for example in the KTXT or SCRTEXT_L fields, can be displayed in a language other than the logon language by entering the two-character language abbreviation of the desired language in the corresponding Language field in the column groups. The following example shows that the values of the KTXT field are to be displayed in the logon language. The values of the SCRTEXT_L field are displayed simultaneously in German, English and French. It looks as follows:
