Hierarchy and position types
This page contains advanced customizing settings. This assumes that corresponding specification types already exist. More information on the initial creation of Specification types can be found in the Specification Type (H) chapter.
It is recommended to create the specification types for production as follows:
Recursive hierarchy & item numbers
/SCT/QP_CUST → Specification type or /SCT/QP_C25
Item numbering is activated via a checkbox in the "Specification types → Hierarchy" maintenance view
These screenshots show an example configuration for a specification type PRODUCTION_VERSION with subordinate recursive ASSEMBLYs and activated item numbering.
The column "Sort. Pos." column activates the item numbers here.
In this example, the ASSEMBLY item type represents the recursive node. This is inserted several times in the hierarchy (lines 1 & 3) and the recursion is defined via the "Entry hierarchy level for repetitions" column.
Specification types individual generation
The option for individual generation is set in the following locations:
For Specification types: /SCT/QP_CUST → Specification types or /SCT/QP_C25
For item categories: /SCT/QP_CUST → Item categories or /SCT/QP_C30
In the "Assignment of object types" screen, the corresponding object types in the "Send here" column (Send changes to hierarchy) are filled with "Individual (VART class)".
